#  This contract is being closed out because of difficulties securing long-term commitments to fund stream gauge operation beyond the first year after construction.  It would be difficult to justify the cost of gauge installation for a stream flow data set of only a year or a few years.  No activities where billed under this contract.

This contract fills a key gaps in stream flow monitoring in the Upper Columbia by installing and operating a new stream gauge in the Entiat River below Tommy Creek to support work by ISEMP/CHaMP, work under the Yakama Nation habitat projects, the Upper Columbia Non-Accords Habitat Programmatic, and implementation of habitat actions for the Entiat IMW.  The new gauge on the Entiat River was identified as a priority by the Entiat Watershed Action Team because the area downstream is the focus of targeted intensive habitat restoration and protection efforts, and improved stream flow monitoring in this area is expected to improve the ability to implement and monitor high priority habitat actions.
