Cost Share on Project
This project is a part of the Clearwater National Forest-Nez Perce Tribe Watershed Restoration Partnership.  Since 1996, we have shared project planning, project costs, and implementation responsibilities with a 50-50 partnership.  The Clearwater National Forest will provide approximately 35% of project costs for road removal and culvert replacement.  We have two grants that provide additional funding either directly or indirectly from the Clearwater National Forest:  The Northern Idaho Resource Advisory Council (RAC) funds will provide $21,797.00 for prescription goat grazing including salary, contract costs, and monitoring.  These funds will be subcontracted to the Nez Perce Tribe through the Clearwater National Forest.  The Nez Perce Tribe will receive $33,500 from the USFS Native Plant Materials Earmark Projects to collect and propagate native plants for use in revegetation of project areas.  In addition to the above USFS funds, Wildlands CPR, a nonprofit conservation organization, will partner with the Nez Perce Tribe in monitoring road removal projects.  Wildlands CPR's contribution will be in-kind with a total value of $20,000.
