Contract Description:
The Nature Conservancy, with funding from BPA, completed the acquisition of the 1271-acre Willamette Confluence property at the Coast Fork-Middle Fork confluence in October 2010.  This contract provides funding to continue inventories, complete enhancement projects in upland oak habitats, begin restoration planning in floodplain habitats, and manage public access/trespass control on this highly visible and widely supported project.  As a condition of acquisition funding, The Nature Conservancy is required to complete comprehensive floodplain restoration (as a component of the US Army Corps of Engineers' Willamette Floodplain Restoration Study) by 2025.
