Contract Description:
This Administrative contract 1) provides opportunity to identify and pursue new mitigation opportunities, and 2)provides support for O + M activities on the Boise River properties. Operation, maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation activities are also funded under The Deer Parks and Centennial Marsh contracts.

The project is a continuation of activities associated with the Southern Idaho Wildlife Mitigation Program in the Middle Snake Province (225 acres Boise River property) and the Upper Snake Province (Deer Parks, Quarter Circle O, Centennial Marsh, 7 owned properties totaling 8,292 acres and a two conservation easements totaling 1,222 acres). Additional mitigation implementation activities would be associated with Palisades, Minidoka ,  Anderson Ranch and Black Canyon complex projects, including the Deadwood project, which while included in the Council's Fish and Wildlife Program, is not currently recognized by BPA as part of the FCRPS.

The purpose of managing these properties and administering the program is to protect BPA's investment in past mitigation implementation. The purpose of new mitigation implementation activities is to assist BPA and the Northwest Power and Conservation Council with meeting the mitigation debt identified in the Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Program.
