Contract Description:
Project Goal

The project is a continuation of activities associated with the Southern Idaho Wildlife Mitigation Program. Operation, maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation activities are in the Middle Snake Province (166-acre Krueger property) and the Upper Snake Province (7 owned properties totaling 5,293 acres and a 422-acre conservation easement). Additional mitigation implementation activities would be associated with Palisades Dam (20,977 remaining HUs), Minidoka Dam (2,110 remaining HUs), Anderson Ranch Dam (8,556 remaining HUs), Black Canyon Dam (2,176 remaining HUs), and Deadwood Dam (7,410 remaining HUs).

The purpose of managing these properties and administering the program is to protect BPA's investment in past mitigation implementation. The purpose of new mitigation implementation activities is to assist BPA and the Northwest Power and Conservation Council with meeting the mitigation debt identified in the Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Program.
