CY 2005 Fish Marking Support to Smolt Monitoring Program
Dworshak NFH, Priest Rapids SFH, Wells SFH, and Leavenworth NFH
Purpose/Objective
This contract provides fish marking support services by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to the Smolt Monitoring Program (SMP), a multi-year program sponsored by the Fish Passage Center to measure the smolt migration timing, passage indices, and travel time of hatchery spring and summer chinook from major production hatcheries in the Columbia and Snake River basins.  The budget cost estimate provides for associated personnel, travel, and miscellaneous supplies to perform tagging of juvenile fish at the hatcheries, as per the attached budget.  PIT tags will be provided to the USFWS by Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission through a separate Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) contract.
Authority
The Service submits this Statement of Work pursuant to the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956 (16U.S.C. 742a-742j, not including 742d-l; 70 Stat. 1119), as amended, and the Economy Act (31U.S.C. 1535).
Funding Information
The BPA is providing funds not to exceed $50,363 to the Service for all direct and indirect costs of the Service to accomplish the project incorporated into this Statement of Work.  
Terms of Agreement
This Statement of Work begins January 1, 2005 and is to be concluded December 31, 2005.
