Contract Description:
The CTUIR Walla Walla River Basin Fish Habitat Enhancement Project, initiated in 1996, is an ongoing effort to monitor, protect, enhance, and restore the natural form and function of rivers, floodplains, and native fish habitat.

Major tasks to be completed by the project in this funding cycle include:

1. Complete the construction for the Kentch project on the upper South Fork of the Walla Walla River. PCI is the selected contractor for this work.

2. Hire a heavy equipment contractor to complete the North Fork Touchet project, and qualified contractors to complete the SF Touchet Designs, the Upper SF WW Assessment, and the Lower WW Designs. The subcontract budgets for this work will added after bids are in for each project.

3. Complete the Assessment and Strategic Action Plan on Lower Mill Creek. TetraTech is the selected contractor for this work.

4. Continue noxious weed control measures as needed along approximately 10 stream miles of project areas.

5. Meet with private landowners, scope and develop conceptual plans for out-year restoration work within priority reaches of the basin.

6. Continue to provide technical support and coordination within the Mill Creek Working Group, Priority Projects Group, Snake River Recovery Board, Oregon Solutions Process, and others as needed.
