Fiscal Year 2025 contract tasks include:
-Estimate run year 2025 adult spring Chinook and hatchery winter steelhead returns.
-Develop spring Chinook harvest recommendation.
-Monitor and estimate 2025 tribal harvest at Punchbowl Falls.
-Capture juvenile salmonids at downstream migrant traps and generate smolt population estimates.
-Determine BY 23 Chinook smolt out migration timing.
-Document run year 2025 spring Chinook spawning locations, timing and success.
-Measure river flows and water temperatures throughout the Hood River basin.
-Reconstruct run year 2024 harvest and escapement.
-Assisting Parkdale Fish Hatchery staff with various fish culture activities including implementing natural feeding program.
-Install, maintain and operate PIT receivers in the basin.
-Report fiscal and calendar year 2024 findings to BPA.
