Title:
D: 160 - Rotary Screw Trap Database.
Description:
Develop databases for 2009 - 2019 Suttle Lake and Lake Creek O. nerka smolt studies as follows: 1) rotary screw trap O. nerka smolt migration abundance and timing, other fish species captured, tagging (PIT and radio-telemetry), fish handling survival; 2) PIT tag antenna array tagged fish detections, antenna operating periods, performance and testing for multiple sites; 3) radio-telemetry tagged fish detections for multiple fixed station sites and mobile tracking; 4) Lake Creek water temperature data at rotary screw trap. Data will be stored in a CTWSRO database.

A Lake Creek (Suttle Lake outlet stream) Rotary Screw Trap database. 4/1/2021 8/15/2022 Active Joshua Ashline 6/3/2022 7:06:11 AM
Description: From 2009 - 2019, a rotary screw trap was deployed and operated during springtime Suttle Lake O. nerka smolt migration to determine abundance and timing of migration. The eleven year trapping period of time will have 40,000 - 50,000 records with fields including: record number, trap name, day, week, year, date, trapping hours per day, count, species, year class, fork length (mm), total length (mm), weight (g), recapture, mark present, mark given, tag type (PIT, radio telemetry) tag code, release location, comments, mortality, mortality type, genetic tissue sample, tagged fish release date, comments, utilized for 24 hour handling survival test, and survival test result. Currently this database exists in the spreadsheet form and is maintained on a project biologists desktop. The work will focus on data QA/QC, refinement of fields to eliminate redundancy as well as metadata input.
