Evaluate habitat enhancement projects implemented throughout project area to determine which methods most effectively increased salmonid biomass and usable habitat.

Deliverable Specification:
ANOVA will be used to compare pre and post treatment stream width, meso habitat area, maximum water depth, mean water depth, and mean wetted silt depth. ANOVA will also be used to compare changes in substrate pertaining to usable spawning gravel every two years after structure placement. Methods include SADMS (silt and depth measurements) at study site or reach. Each reach consists of 1000m to 2000m sections or series which are further stratified into 100m-200m strata within the series. SADMS, flows, McNeil Core samples, insect collection, and fish population estimates are then conducted in these identified areas in the project reach. To obtain replication for ANOVA each strata will consist of evenly spaced transects 7-10m apart. At each transect field technicians collect depth of silt, water depth, channel width, and flow rate, these are obtained using calibrated PVC staffs and Marsh McBurney flomate, and 100m measuring tape stretched perpendicular of the thalweg. Each transect will yield 10 measurements for each variable.
