Description: MFWP will maintain existing applications and interfaces that facilitate the entry, compilation, management and dissemination of MFISH data; much of the interface maintenance will disappear once FWIS is fully implemented. GIS application development will continue and include developing and maintaining ArcGIS server-based applications using the JavaScript Application Programming Interface (API) and developing and maintaining public map services that consume Montana StreamNet GIS data such as MFISH, the Fishing Guide and the Crucial Areas Planning System. During the three month extension StreamNet staff will maintain those applications and interfaces which disseminate BPA funded data. |

Description: MFWP StreamNet staff will continue to assist in the scoping and development of the Fisheries and Wildlife Information System (FWIS) which will enhance the flow of data from the field to centralized databases. Providing assistance to the Fisheries Bureau in the form of technical lead in the scoping of most of the data types that are going into FWIS has been/will be a significant workload on MFWP StreamNet staff. StreamNet staff will provide some project management oversight to aspects of the project with emphasis on field and data standards. During the three month extension, staff will assist in the scoping and development of FWIS as it relates to data being collected for BPA funded projects if development on the database resumes and as requested by the Fisheries Bureau. |
