Contract Description:
The primary objective of this contract is to complete project-scale monitoring activities in support of, and in collaboration with, a Programmatic Approach for Action Effectiveness Monitoring (AEM) developed by the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the Bonneville Power Administration. Specifically, snorkel and channel-profile surveys will be conducted throughout treatment and control sites established for a partial passage-barrier removal project in Northeast Oregon to conclude current AEM field activities identified for monitoring and evaluation of partial passage barrier projects. Collaboration and support will be extended to AEM coordinators at Cramer Fish Sciences to analyze and interpret the data, as well as for the completion of associated reports for Programmatic AEM MBACI activities. As these surveys comprise the entirety of AEM field activities identified for CY22, additional habitat monitoring not associated with the AEM program is also to be conducted under this contract.

CY22 Implementation Summary

Habitat restoration projects identified for monitoring and evaluation or species and habitat surveys under this contract include:

• Lostine River Tulley-Hill Diversion AEM partial barrier project (implemented)
• Lostine River MP 5.7 floodplain and side-channel reconnection project (planned)
