Work Element 212: NW Power & Conservation Council Categorical Review - Published
WE Name:
212. NW Power & Conservation Council Categorical Review (Categorical Review)
Work Category:
Planning and Coordination
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Status:
Active
Definition:
This work element is intended to include activities associated with the Northwest Power and Conservation Council’s (NPCC) project review processes. Project reviews can be ad hoc, or occur as part of a larger grouping of projects (e.g., a ‘categorical’ review). Activities covered by this work element would include: writing a proposal for review (a template is provided by NPCC), providing information as requested in a NPCC project review questionnaire, the development and delivery of associated presentations to the NPCC’s Independent Scientific Review Panel (ISRP), development and delivery of responses to ISRP questions as requested.

Historically, the review process consumes an appreciable amount of time, but once a project has a formal recommendation from the NPCC, the work covered by this work element is infrequent (e.g., a project is reviewed approximately every 5 years).
