Title:

L: 157 - Coliform bacteria testing at Mud Springs and Talmaks

Description:

Collect fecal coliform data, using standardized methods, to monitor effectiveness of agricultural best management practices (BMPs) in the watersheds surrounding Mud Springs and Talmaks Reservoirs which include extensive agricultural land use.

Deliverable Specification:

Data collection and testing for fecal coliform at Mud Springs and Talmaks Reservoirs to monitor effectiveness of agricultural BMPs in surrounding watersheds and for primary human contact purposes. Sampling protocol consists of use of special sample bottles provided by laboratory (Anatek Labs, Moscow, ID) which contain a fixation agent. A subsurface pond water sample is added to the bottle and the samples are then immediately transported (on ice) to lab for analysis within 30 hours of collection time.
