Title:
D: 162 - Analyze precocious maturation rate of Yakima hatchery spring chinook salmon
Description:
The objective of WE (162) is to interpret data collected for WE (157) "Estimate precious maturation rate of Yakima hatchery spring chinook salmon" at the Yakima hatchery acclimation sites and laboratory analysis of 11-ketotestosterone samples anlyzed through the related University of Washington contract.
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Deliverable Specification:
Planned Metrics
RM&E Focal Area: Hatchery
RM&E Primary Type: Uncertainties Research
RM&E Secondary Type: NA

Deliverables:
1. Manage computer database for data on length, weight, gender, testes weight (GSI), plasma 11-ketotestosterone levels in males from Yakima hatchery spring chinook salmon.
2. Conduct statistical analysis of all data using ANOV and regression analysis comparing year-to-year variability and production high and low growth treatment grouips.
3. Compile graphical representation of all data.
4. Analyze and interpret data from brood year 2005 Yakima spring chinook reared under production scale growth modulation experiment before release. Data will be compared between hatchery and wild stocks and used to examine related annual trends in the hatchery population.
