Title:
C: 157 - Record PIT-tagged fish in the Deschutes River at the mouth and Sherars Falls antenna arrays
Description:
Record full (FDX) and half (HDX) PIT tagged fish entering the Deschutes River at antenna arrays at the mouth of the Deschutes River (site = DRM) and Shears Falls (site = DSF). The site DRM was installed during Feb/March 2013. This antenna array will detect and record PIT tagged fish that swim within the electromagnetic field of the 12 antennas from which the array is comprised. Detected fish will include returning adults and out-migrant juvenile Deschutes River fall Chinook. These antennae will provide data describing migration timing, stray rates, dip ins, and contribute to determination of smolt to adult ratios and abundance estimates. The site, DSF, was installed July 2016. It will be used to detecting adult fall Chinook PIT- tagged as juveniles.
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Deliverable Specification:
Maintain antenna array and record data on FDX/HDX PIT tagged fish at the Deschutes River mouth antenna (DRM) and Sherars Falls (DSF) arrays. Data may be downloaded through PTAGIS website; interrogator sites are DRM and DSF.
