AE: 160 - Project and Fisheries Data Management
Description:
This work element covers data management for both project and fisheries/habitat information. A project tracker was developed in 2017 and is currently used to store all project data and information. This is application hosts both a public and CTWS interface. Information can be queried and projects, photos, metrics, permits, reports are all accessible. It is an invaluable tool in project management, with multiple projects occurring each year. Projects site visits occur at 1, 3, 5, and 10 year intervals to evaluate effectiveness and ensure that habitat and passage are still functioning. This WE will cover annual application hosting and maintenance. The Tribes intent is to provide hosting and maintenance of the Project Tracker in the future.

Overall data structure and management of fisheries and habitat data is under development. For 2021 it is expected that CTWS will develop efficient strategies for data management, which meet the fishery and natural resources needs. This will provide data steward duties that include the coordination, management, standardization, and improved access of information for decision makers within CTWS. This phase will seek to incorporate information technology as an integral part of decision-making and will further be able to facilitate the understanding of integrated data management and coordinate the development of appropriate data strategies for projects proposed within the CTWS. A cohesive data management strategy will guide the development of data systems and tools for fishery and related natural resource programs; create and maintain spatially and non-spatially based relational databases and related tools; create of customized decision support systems to query information, summarize data and automate reporting. This WE will cover contracted services to develop and implement this data structure.
