Steelhead redd surveys will be conducted at 25 sites approximately every 2 weeks, from approximately March 15 through June 15 depending on environmental conditions.

Deliverable Specification:
Steelhead redd surveys will be conducted at 25 sites approximately every 2 weeks, from approximately March 15 through June 15 depending on environmental conditions. Therefore, each site will be surveyed 3 or 4 times within the spawning periods. Each site will include 1.0 miles of stream habitat. All redds within each site will be individually flagged, georeferenced by GPS, and numbered sequentially. Numbers of adult steelhead will be extrapolated from counts of steelhead redds conducted at 25 randomly-located sites per year throughout the Wenatchee Subbasin.
Quality controlled raw data and quality controlled, georeferenced, summarized data of steelhead redd counts, including GPS locations, will be entered and stored in Microsoft Access databases known as Automated Template Modules (ATMs) that will be provided by NOAA Fisheries by May 30, 2007. Data will be uploaded by July 30, 2007 to NOAA Fisheries using the ATM and notice will be provided to BPA and Terraqua, Inc. when the data has been uploaded. The contractor will be responsible for all quality assurance/quality control steps necessary to ensure that data is properly collected and entered into the ATM.
