Description:
Documenting new protocols within the ARS system requires detailed descriptions of all attributes observed by the protocol. This can pose a significant challenge for novice users who lack an intricate knowledge of the system. During FY 2008, the concept of survey types was added to the ARS. Survey types define the domain of attributes that could potentially be observed under a protocol and have the potential to facilitate the documentation of new protocols. Under this work element, Environmental Data Services will update the protocol editor module to include the concept of survey type. This update will increase the ease of documenting new protocols for novice users.
