Title:
I: 48 - Practice upland farmland conversion
Description:
Provide an economic incentive to landowners in order to aid them in the conversion from upland farming to grasslands in an effort to reduce erosion and in-stream sediment levels in Couse/Tenmile Creeks.

Landowners will receive a one time payment at the rate of $110.00/acre. They are responsible for leaving the acreage as grassland for 5 years, although they may be able to do some low impact grazing or haying every other year (starting in the second year) as long as their proposed actions are approved by the ACCD and NRCS.
