Description: Spring Chinook smolts will be delivered by ODFW and USFWS (from Petlon-Round Butte and Carson NFH respectively)to the West Fork Hood River acclimation in March. Upon delivery to the release site a CTWS crew samples fish for PIT tags. to check fin clip quality, CWT retention, lengths and weights. Additional data will be collected to support the comparative hatchery evaluation project as directed by NOAA Fisheries principal investigators.

Description: ODFW will transport winter steelhead smolts from Oak Springs Hatchery to the East and Miiddle Fork Hood River acclimation sites during May. ODFW/CTWS crew samples the fish for PIT tags, fin clip quality, lengths and weights either at Oak Springs Hatchery immediately prior to delivery or after receipt at East Fork sand trap and Parkdale Fish Hatchery.
