Sort Type Title Start End Status Modified By Modified Date
A EC Environmental compliance requirements complete 4/1/2012 6/29/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: On-the-ground work associated with this work element cannot proceed until this milestone is complete. Milestone is complete when final documentation is received from BPA environmental compliance staff (completion can be based on pre-existing environmental documentation from BPA).
B PUBPROTOCOL Review, revise, and Publish protocol, study design, and methods in monitoringmethods.org 4/1/2012 6/30/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: The Protocol (including temporal and spatial design) and Methods for this work element are stored at monitoringmethods.org and need to be finalized (i.e., "Published" through monitoringmethods.org), preferably prior to data collection. Preparations for contract renewals must include reviewing any previously published Protocols/Methods to ensure that they are consistent with how work will be done in any subsequent contract.
C Steelhead redd counts on Oxbow tributaries 4/30/2012 6/15/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Survey Granite Boulder, Butte, Ruby, and Ragged Creeks. Assist ODFW with other surveys. Coordinated with other redd counts in area.
D Measure flows on river and tributaries at peak and low flow periods 4/1/2012 3/31/2013 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Obtain periodic flows at various locations on the property to assist with long term restoration studies. Reasonable high flows (June) and low flows (late August/Early September) will be recorded by use of Tribal-owned flow-measuring instrument at monitoring reaches on river and on tributaries. Data collection includes staff gage readings required for Bureau of Reclamation design study for habitat restoration project. This will be used to determine if irrigation should be reduced or shut down.
E Assist ODFW with Spring Chinook Redd Surveys 8/27/2012 9/28/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Assist with counts on MFJD River and possibly on Mainstem JD River.
F Take photos 4/1/2012 3/31/2013 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Photo will be taken in spring and fall photos from established riparian photo point stations. Photos will also record CREP project and tailings restoration project areas.
G Collect weather data monthly 4/1/2012 3/31/2013 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Davis Vantage PRO Station and database located at Oxbow office. Data will be used by project and is available to public upon request. This monitoring involves very little time and funding, as the equipment is in place and software is stable. Information provide validating data for fish monitoring.
H Adult chinook holding counts 6/4/2012 8/31/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Count and GPS number of adult Chinook holding on Oxbow property during critical low flows. Data is shared with TNC and ODFW ( upon request).
I CREP planting survival counts 6/4/2012 8/31/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Count of CREP plants to ensure contract survival guarantee. Since it was determined the plants are surviving, but browse pressure is still an issue, 60 out of 220 CREP tarps were surveyed at random. This still gives us a good estimate for survival rates, but frees up a lot of time for other restoration actions and weed control.
J Irrigation use monitoring 4/1/2012 9/28/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Flood irrigation activities will be closely monitored to ensure adequate stream flows are maintained for fish. Flume, staff gage, and staff logger recordings will be required. Records will be kept to describe duration and volume of irrigation and source conditions. Details will be put into the annual report.
K Record stream temperature data 4/1/2012 12/14/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Install and retrieve temperature (8) data loggers into various locations on the property. Coordinate data with the IMW program.
L Conduct snorkel surveys along Middle Fork 7/2/2012 9/7/2012 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Conduct snorkel surveys along property sections of the Middle Fork and tributaries to collect information on holding and juvenile salmonid populations. Data will be used to monitor effectiveness of restoration designs.
M DELIV Fish, weather, and habitat monitoring 3/31/2013 Concluded Jason Karnezis 5/14/2012 1:32:08 PM
Description: Collected data will be stored in Tribal database and reported in annual reports. These monitoring efforts collected will be reported in the annual report.
