Title:
I: 159 - Develop plan to provide data regionally
Description:
Data is periodically downloaded and processed in the office. Real-time data is available via telephone access to the site. The annual discharge data is shared through Annual Reports and by submission of data to partners and requesting agencies.

USFS is looking at alternative means of accessing the data. The preferred option is to use GOES technology and have the data available to the public on the web. At the time of this contract review and issuance, the FS is working to establish agreements with other agencies (National Weather Service and US Army Corps of Engineers) to download and host the data in realtime and to store and make the data available in online archives.
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Deliverable Specification:
Develop means to transfer data to regional databases where it will be maintained and accessible to the public. Under the current funding for this contract, there will be no physical change to the existing setup and process for sharing data. This deliverable is to establish the agreements to follow once funding is provided to allow for purchase and installation of equipment that will allow use of GOES technology to transmit data from the gage.
