Description:
This work element includes CCNRD staff time to prepare the construction contract, advertise, and hire contractor(s). There may be two separate contracts for earthwork and revegetation. CCNRD will review the engineering design specifications to prepare the bid documents. Development of the advertisement and contract award requires coordination with the design engineer and County contract document reviewer. Contract advertisement and award must also be approved by the Chelan County Commissioners. CCNRD will also review and approve contractor work plans to ensure environmental compliance. CCNRD staff will oversee earthwork for floodplain reconnection and bridge installation. Construction of the bridge and associated earthwork is anticipated to take 4 months and CCNRD staff will be on site daily to ensure environmental compliance, construction to design specifications, and evaluate any change order requests. CCNRD staff will oversee access road construction, grading for floodplain connection, access road removal, and revegetation. CCNRD will collect and review daily construction logs; review/approve change order requests; and review subcontractors' requests for payments.

Once advertised, CCNRD staff will review all bids. CCNRD may advertise separately for earthwork and revegetation contracts.
