Title:
G: 156 - Assist in development of new Separation-by-code software
Description:
In the mid 1990s, NMFS developed the DOS-based computer program, MULTIMON, that is still used at the dams for Separation-by-Code projects. In FY04, PSMFC finally found a computer platform that they believe will allow them to develop a Windows-based program that will be able to perform this function. The current schedule calls for an evaluation of the prototype software first in the laboratory and then at a juvenile fish facility in 2006; depending on the timing of the evaluation, they would like to include a fish test as part of the evaluation. PSMFC has requested that NMFS assist them in evaluating the program in the laboratory and the field. Furthermore, they have requested that NMFS design and help carry out the fish test. The proposed budget includes money for work related to the evaluation and fish test.
