Title:
L: 162 - Analyze data collected during trapping and PIT-tagging westslope cutthroat trout
Description:
Estimate abundance of adult migratory westslope cutthroat trout spawners in Sadler, Sanborn, Big and Quartz creeks. Describe spawning timing and residence time in spawning streams. Determine sex specific mean lengths and weights for cutthroat spawners. Start to examine outmigration timing of tagged juveniles.
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Deliverable Specification:
Abundance estimate for spawning adults in Sadler, Sanborn, Big and Quartz creeks. Additionally, description of spawning timing and duration, sex specific lengths and weights for spawners, and description of outmigration timing of juvenile cutthroat trout.

A PUBPROTOCOL Review, revise, and Publish protocol, study design, and methods in monitoringmethods.org 3/1/2018 2/28/2019 Concluded Carlos Matthew 11/7/2017 2:45:22 PM
Description: The Protocol (including temporal and spatial design) and Methods for this work element are stored at monitoringmethods.org and need to be finalized (i.e., "Published" through monitoringmethods.org), preferably prior to data collection. Preparations for contract renewals must include reviewing any previously published Protocols/Methods to ensure that they are consistent with how work will be done in any subsequent contract.
B Analysis of migratory cutthroat data from Sadler Creek 6/1/2018 2/28/2019 Concluded Carlos Matthew 12/7/2017 9:48:45 AM
Description: Estimate spawner and outmigrating juvenile abundance using a mark-recapture Peterson estimator from fish captured at the downstream incline plane trap. Captured adults will be PIT-tagged and moved back upstream of the trap. Abundance estimates will be based on how many fish are recaptured and how many PIT-tagged fish are not recaptured but detected downstream at the PIT-tag array. Calculate sex specific mean lengths and weights. Use daily capture and PIT-tag data to describe migration timing.
C Analysis of migratory cutthroat data from Sanborn Creek 6/1/2018 2/28/2019 Concluded Carlos Matthew 12/7/2017 9:48:45 AM
