Title:
I: 162 - Evaluate site selection methodology and monitoring results
Description:
Results from monitoring projects will be compiled and evaluated both as to individual success of enhancement project as well as correlation with other project results. Initial site selection model will be evaluated as to utility in selecting sites Final eelgrass density and distribution from monitoring element will be assessed in three ways:

1) Success of enhancement project.
2) Correlation with crab eelgrass use.
3) Utility of spatial model for site selection.

End results will be presented in final report which will also be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal.
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Deliverable Specification:
Results section of final report, including figures, maps, & tables. Data distribution: Limited CDs of raw data will be available. Data will be further distributed (or points of contact recognized) through either an interactive map or direct distribution through a web interface.

A Evaluate success of enhancement project 3/15/2009 7/30/2009 Concluded Chaeli Judd (Inactive) 11/29/2007 2:44:47 PM
Description: Final success of enhancement project will be assessed using plant presence/absence and density.
B Evaluate crab vs. eelgrass enhancement 5/1/2009 5/15/2009 Concluded Chaeli Judd (Inactive) 11/29/2007 2:44:47 PM
Description: Crab use of enhanced habitat will be compared with eelgrass enhancement success rates.
C Evaluate utility of spatial model of site selection 5/1/2009 5/15/2009 Concluded Chaeli Judd (Inactive) 11/29/2007 2:45:17 PM
Description: Correlation of eelgrass enhancement success with the derived salinity, turbidity and currents dataset as well as site selection model results will be examined. If remotely sensed data and numerical models can be used to approximate in-situ values to select sites for restoration, these methods can be applied in other areas in the Columbia River and the Pacific Northwest. In this step we will examine the effectiveness of the GIS model through eelgrass enhancement success rates.
