E106703184Install Fish Passage StructureInstall fish passage improvementsModification of existing concrete channel to improve fish passage at high and low flow. Low flow modification will be the removal of existing baffles in the center trench, spaced at 60 feet and alternating from side to side. New baffles will be placed at 20 foot spacing, and all be on one side. The new baffle configuration eliminates supercritical flow by backwatering each baffle. The high flow modification will be to cut existing slab concrete adjacent to the center trench, adjusting the underlying grade, and placing new pre-cast 'roughness panels.' The roughness panels simulate the roughness of a natural channel, providing a zone of lower velocity where fish can swim at sustainable speeds during higher flows. Resting pools will be cut into the side of the center channel, and be interspersed with the roughness panels. The pools will provide a no-velocity resting area, especially during high flow.$50,50066.89%10/01/201209/30/2013
