Work Element 132: Produce Progress (Annual) Report - Published
WE Name:
132. Produce Progress (Annual) Report (Prod Annual Report)
Work Category:
Reporting
WE Agreement Type:
Contracted
Status:
Active
Definition:
This work element covers written reports about deliverable results in a contract that are submitted to BPA for dissemination to the public as a Progress (Annual) Report. These reports may cover less than a year or multiple years. Progress reports come in two types, Non-technical Progress Report and Technical Progress Report. Technical Progress Reports also include a Hybrid Progress Report format covering technical and non-technical work elements. Technical Progress Reports are used in contracts with RM&E Work Elements (156, 157 and 162). Non-technical Progress Reports are used for contracts that have no RM&E work elements. If you have a question regarding your project report, work with your COR and the Project’s RME SME to determine appropriate types, format, and due dates. For example, you may have separate chapters for RM&E, habitat restoration, and O&M activities. Reports should be submitted using the most recent BPA reporting guidance & templates available at https://www.cbfish.org/Help.mvc/GuidanceDocuments. Once uploaded to CBFish’s contract Documents, a progress report will be finalized by BPA with an identification number, and then made publicly available as a PDF via https://www.cbfish.org.
WSE Description Template:
The progress report summarizes the project goal, objectives, hypotheses (for research), concluded deliverables, problems encountered, lessons learned, and long-term planning. Examples of long-term planning include future improvements, new directions, or any ramping up or ramping down of contract components or of the project as a whole.
[DELETE OPTION [A] OR [B] THAT DOES NOT APPLY AND THE WE 183 REMINDER]
[A] Non-Technical reports have no prescribed format at this time. They do not have to use a scientific format, but they should be rationally organized to facilitate public comprehension. The most important consideration is that the report completely cover activities in the scope of work whose results are not sufficiently presented in the CB Fish status reports.
[B] RM&E Technical Progress reports must conform to BPA guidelines. See the "RME Technical Reporting" link at: https://www.cbfish.org/Help.mvc/GuidanceDocuments.

It usually takes BPA 30-45 days to post the final PDF version of a report. This milestone's end date should therefore be 45 days after the final version is uploaded in Pisces. You will receive an email from BPA confirming that your report has been finalized and posted to the web. If you do not receive such an email after 45 days, contact your COR.

  • Rule 1 : Use a separate WE for each progress report being worked on during the contract period, and clearly identify the different reports in the WE titles.
