At the heart of how BPA funds, monitors and reports on work performed under its Fish & Wildlife Program are work elements, metrics, and measures. In habitat work on the river tributaries, this work addresses each location's limiting factors. This area of CBFish allows you to explore these items in detail and understand their relation to one another.
A Metric is a quantification or qualification of an accomplishment resulting from
completing a task, or what we call a Work Element.
Habitat work often has a number of quantifiable metrics such as # of acres treated
or # of stream miles with improved complexity.
Research and Monitoring work often has qualification metrics such as the Primary
Purpose of the research or the Focal Area of the research.
