DELIVERABLE SPECIFICATION

Coordination of passage facility operation and maintenance.

Field monitoring and inspections of river conditions and passage facility operations at Little Walla Walla River, Eastside Ditch, Nursery Bridge Dam, Burlingame Canal, and Garden City Lowden 2 Canal are coordinated by the project with the Passage Facility O&M staffs and various agencies involved in the fish passage/flow enhancement efforts in the basin including multiple irrigation districts, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, NOAA Fisheries, and Oregon and Washington fisheries and flow management agencies. The project acts as a liaison between the various entities involved in the operation and maintenance of the passage facilities as well as those involved in the flow enhancement to ensure adequate passage conditions exist for both upstream and downstream migration and that operational details agreed upon in the Annual Operation Plan are being followed.

MILESTONE DESCRIPTION

Coordinate operation and maintenance of passage facilities (Little Walla Walla River, Nursery Bridge Dam, Burlingame Canal, and Garden City/ Lowden II passage facilities on a weekly basis with Passage Facility O&M staffs. Jon Brough (HBDIC) is main contact for the Oregon facilities and Stuart Durfee (GFID) is the main contact for the Washington passage facilities.
