Title:
E: 70 - Install tandem PIT tag array Joseph Creek
Description:
Biomark will construct eight 20 foot (6.1 meter) flat panel antennas. Antennas will be installed by Biomark into Joseph Creek. The contract funds two fully operational and tuned PIT tag arrays, each consisting of one FS1001M transceiver, transceiver enclosure, data logger, satellite remote communication infrastructure, a model 5060 thermoelectric generator to power the array, and propane tanks and manifolds. Also included is the remote communications infrastructure, shipping, installation hardware, and installation equipment rental.

Deliverables also include a report of the following performance metrics:
1. Noise values for each antenna at 100% noise gain prior to and immediately following installation.
2. Current draw for each antenna prior to and immediately following installation.
3. Capacitor value for each antenna prior to and immediately following installation.
4. Virtual test tag value that results in greater than 50% read rate.
5. Actual maximum read distance for SST PIT tags in pass-by orientation in Biomark’s screened radio-frequency and immediately following installation.
6. Observed efficiency (fraction of positive detections) when a PIT tag is passed at a distance of 15 inches and 18 inches from the antenna coil.
