Obsidian and Washington Peak Quad Maps T7N R14E Sec. 22, 28 Project Status: USFS NEPA is complete pending SHPO concurrence of project modification, engineering revisions of the original design are underway, ESA Section 7 complete, and USFS Special Use Permit is pending. Project Description: Two unscreened diversions, SChC-03 and SChC-04, will be consolidated into one ditch. This project will entail installation of a fish screen, a control structure, and approximately 650 lineal feet of pipe to eliminate conveyance loss and halt erosion where the ditch transverses a rocky slope downstream of the proposed fish screen installation site and realignment of 385 feet of ditch. A new head gate structure will be installed along with approximately 200 feet of pipe from the head gate down the ditch to the fish screen. The old diversion dam at SChC-03 will be removed to enhance fish passage. A temporary bridge provided by IDFG will be installed across Champion Creek to access the screen site during construction. The temporary bridge will be installed above the high water mark and thus does not require a CWA Section 404 permit.
