B | 112208 | 184 | Install Fish Passage Structure | Replace Glover Creek Culvert | The Selway River Subbasin Assessment (USDA Forest Service, 2001) lists several culverts in the Selway River, including the Glover Creek Creek culvert on Road 223, as priority fish passage improvements due to undersized structures that are currently passage barriers or have insufficient hydraulic capacity. This replacement has already been designed by the Nez Perce - Clearwater National Forest and will increase the hydraulic capacity of the culvert and reduce the chances of failure in the future, as well as restore access of up to 1.0 mile of stream for all life stages of aquatic species, including Spring Chinook and Steelhead.
All necessary environmental compliance requirements for all aspects of this project, including NEPA, ESA, and cultural resources requirements have been completed by the USDA Forest Service, Nez Perce National Forest and documented in a Decision Memo dated June 20, 2008. All of this documentation will be submitted to the BPA EC Lead for review and approval.
The Nez Perce Tribe (NPT) and the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest will work as partners to implement this project. The NPT will subcontract with the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest through our partnership agreement to administer the implementation subcontract. The Nez Perce Tribe will assist in bid package preparation, contractor selection, technical oversight, final inspection, and the associated project implementation/effectiveness monitoring and evaluation (WE C). | $175,421 | 88.40% | 04/01/2013 | 03/31/2014 |

An implementation/compliance monitoring plan has been developed to gauge the success of culvert/bridge replacements. The Nez Perce Tribe and the Nez Perce - Clearwater National Forest have been partners in watershed restoration since 1996, which includes sharing funds and resources to complete projects.
