Includes activities related to installing a sprinkler system. This work element is only for work designed to provide irrigation efficiencies which result in increased instream flow. Thus, other options should have already been considered to accomplish this purpose, such as water transactions or obtaining cost-share for this work element and subsequently transferring conserved water instream. To cover initial work to put conserved water instream, including coordinating with the Columbia Basin Water Transactions Program, also use 154. Develop and Negotiate Water Right Transaction and 164. Acquire Water Instream.
Sprinkler systems are pressurized, meaning it will often be necessary to provide a pump system if gravity is not adequate. If you are removing a push-up diversion and a pump is installed as an alternative diversion for the sprinkler system, use 84. Remove/Install Diversion (Expired).
If designing the sprinkler system involves significant technical detail or engineering specifications, use 175. Produce Design.
Rule 2 (Location of Work):
If the project involves installing multiple sprinklers at different sites, split out each site as a separate work element because the metrics will be different for each.
Rule 3 (Metrics):
If the sprinkler system is being installed as part of a connected effort to deal with multiple factors at a single location, each with different metrics, split out each as a separate work element. For example: Cow Creek is being restored as part of a basin-wide effort to open up tributary habitat. Historically, fish passage on Cow Creek was impeded in several places by push up dams. The proposal involves taking out a push up dam, restoring channel conditions, developing a well as an alternative irrigation water source, and putting in a pipeline and sprinkler system to convey the well water to the farm. Use the following work elements:

WE:149. Install Pipeline (Expired) WE Title: Install pipeline from new pump on Cow Creek to the 'North 40' sprinkler system. WE Description: Pipeline, pump, and sprinkler system will replace old push up dam and ditch.
On-the-ground work associated with this work element cannot proceed until this milestone is complete. Milestone is complete when final documentation is received from BPA environmental compliance staff.

Overview:
This drill-down report shows the Program's Habitat Accomplishments from fiscal year 2005 forward. Figures are based on the High Level Indicators identified by the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, and aggregate metric data entered by the contractors doing the work on the ground. For past years, these charts show Actual metric values for Completed work; for the current year they show both Actual metric values for Completed work and Planned metric values for Planned and In-Progress work.

Overview:
Shows the estimated spending by Focal Species – various anadromous and resident fish and general wildlife category – by fiscal year. Since contractors don’t invoice BPA by work element, much less by focal species, this report allocates project costs by the proportion of the work element budgets and the focal species associated with each work element. This report has two tables: Spending by all Focal Species, and Spending by ESA-Listed Focal Species (a table that allows BPA to meet federal reporting requirements).
